Data Encryption

Add even more security to your forms and data.

Layer in more protection for sensitive data.
Try It Free

Security is our first priority. So we layer in multiple security measures to protect your forms and data and keep it safe from prying eyes. These include making our platform accessible only over HTTPS, using 256-bit SSL encryption during data transmission, and ensuring your data is encrypted while at rest.

This becomes even more important when you’re collecting sensitive data such as social security numbers, driver’s license numbers or account numbers. In these cases, you’ll want to add protections that limit the transmission of sensitive entry data and encrypt it while you work. For this, you’ll want to use our Data Encryption feature.

Available to organizations on our Team and Enterprise plans.

Add additional encryption

While your entry data is always encrypted at rest, enabling our Data Encryption feature adds encryption while your data is stored locally – such as when you’re actively working with your entry data.

This helps ensure your data remains safe and secure at all times.

Protect sensitive data fields

Data breaches can be caused by more than just external attacks. Sensitive data must also be protected against accidental or unintended transmission. To do this, you can protect individual fields.

When you protect a field, that field’s data will no longer appear in notification or confirmation emails. Also, when integrating encrypted entry data, it will only be sent to a JSON endpoint over a secure connection. Essentially, your sensitive data can’t insecurely leave your account.

From file attachments to phone numbers, there is no limit to the type or number of fields that you can protect.

Get started

In order to heighten your data security, we highly recommend that you encrypt forms and protect fields containing information such as:

  • Social security numbers
  • Driver’s license numbers
  • Banking information

Additionally, when collecting passwords, use a Password field to mask inputted characters from view.
